Who we are

Ubungane Lodge and reserve is a family passion,
a journey that is on going.
 
The reserve is a pocket of paradise, We are so lucky
to call it our home. We want to share the beauty
and the wonder of the Makalali Private Nature reserve
with you all.

This land has shaped our lives, inspired our dreams,
and taught us the importance of preserving South Africa's incredible wildlife. Our daughter, Mila Mai, has grown up here, a true "bush baby", learning the rhythms of the wild from her earliest days. Her passion for conservation fuels everything we do, and her future inspires us to protect
this land for generations to come.
